3-year-old and 9-year-old shot on Cleveland’s west side

CLEVELAND-- Two children were injured during a shooting on Cleveland's west side Tuesday night, sources told the FOX 8 I-Team.

It happened on Dudley Avenue near West 73rd Street in the Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood at around 10:20 p.m. When police  arrived on the scene, they found that two young girls, ages 3 and 9,  had been injured by gunfire.

Cleveland police told Fox 8 that the children were alive when they arrived at MetroHealth Medical Center.

The preliminary investigation found that this was a drive-by shooting, and that the gunfire came from a dark-colored vehicle that was driving toward the home.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact police at 216-621-1234.
