AVON, OH  - The Lorain County prosecutor has decided that no charges will be filed against a former hotel desk clerk who police say mistook a Muslim man for a terrorist.

Police were called to the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Avon back in July, after relatives of the clerk called 911. They told police that a man wearing Arabic clothing was in the lobby of the hotel pledging his allegiance to ISIS.

The man was held by police for 5-7 minutes until the learned he was not a safety threat.

Avon leaders met with him later to apologize.

The clerk no longer works for the hotel chain.
