CLEVELAND, Ohio--  Today is a very special day as we join our own Dick Goddard for his second telethon to benefit the Cleveland APL.

We will be taking your pledge by phone or online until 7:30 p.m. The final total was $142,254.

You can also click on this link and make a pledge online.

Last year we raised a little over $128,000. We hope to beat that number this year.

The Cleveland APL is extending their adoption hours from 8am until 8pm and will be lowering adoption fees: Adult dogs that are 5 months and older can be adopted today for just $88.

Cats that are one year and older are only $8 and kittens under one year are discounted to $50. The normal adoption rates are $95 for dogs and kittens and $45 for cats.

In 2015, nearly 5,900 animals were adopted from the Cleveland APL. That is over 16 animals adopted each day. A donation of just $25 can provide cat litter and litter trays for half a day or provide heartworm tests for 5 dogs.

A donation of $100 will feed all shelter animals for one day. Every single donation helps and adds up. Your help will truly make a difference.
