PIERRE PART, Louisiana– A little boy who was seen on surveillance video sneaking hugs every day from a neighbor’s dog now has his own pup.

Josh Breaux, 9, of Pierre Part, Louisiana, made headlines this summer for the precious video which showed him hugging Dutchess, a black Labrador.

The reason was heartbreaking:  His mom, Ginger Breaux, said the family’s dog passed away last year; Josh had been asking for another pet ever since.

Josh’s wish came true over the weekend. Ginger told ABC News that the family now has a 3-month-old pup named Drake— who is a black Lab like Dutchess.

And, in case you’re wondering — Josh still goes to visit Dutchess, and so do Ginger and her daughter; they want to make sure the pup is still getting lots of hugs from them.
