Busy, fun weekend in Cleveland: What you need to know if you’re heading downtown

CLEVELAND, Ohio– The Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns, Oktoberfest.  Take your pick! It’s going to be a busy weekend in Cleveland.

Here’s a guide from the City of Cleveland on everything you need to know if you’re heading downtown.


Public Square

Saturday: noon-11 p.m.

Sunday: 9 a.m.-4 p.m.

Host Detroit Tigers all weekend at Progressive Field


First regular season home game against Baltimore Ravens Sunday at 1 p.m.

If you want to avoid traffic, the City of Cleveland encourages you to ride RTA. To reach any event downtown, park for free at designated locations, buy a $5 round-trip fare card or a $5.50 all-day pass, and ride any Rapid to the Tower City Station. The all-day pass is valid until 3 a.m. the next day.

If you need directions while walking or biking, keep an eye out for Downtown Cleveland Alliance Ambassadors. The men and women in yellow shirts will be happy to give you directions or walk you to your destination. They are also available to help with lock-outs or flat tires. Call 216-621-6000.
