CLEVELAND– If you’re strolling down East 9th Street in downtown Cleveland this month, you’ll notice the sounds of a championship city.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame “Rock Boxes” will be playing music inspired by the city’s amazing summer. Not only did the Cavs win an NBA title and Cleveland hosted the Republican National Convention, but it’s the Rock Hall’s 21st birthday.

Local media outlets, including FOX 8 News in the Morning, were asked to curate songs from the giant speakers for a particular day of the week. The “Rock Boxes” play at the top of the hour from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

On Fridays this month, you can hear FOX 8 News in the Morning’s selections, which include “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey, “Can’t Hold Us” by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, “September” by Earth, Wind and Fire and “I Got You” by James Brown.
