Bond set at $1M for man accused of shooting woman to death after crash

SOLON, Ohio -- A 29-year-old  North Ridgeville man has been charged with murder in a shooting that killed a Twinsburg woman.

Matthew Ryan Desha, 29, appeared in court Monday morning. His bond was set at $1 million.

The incident happened Saturday.

According to police, Deborah Pearl, 53, was traveling north on Richmond Road in Solon, and as she entered the intersection at Solon Road, Desha went through the red light, striking Pearl's car.

The suspect's car rolled several times.

After both cars stopped, the suspect got out of his car with a rifle and allegedly shot Pearl from the passenger side of her car.

She was taken to a local hospital where she passed away.
