Week #1: Cardinals soar in our game of the week

Our game of the week had plenty of scoring as the Mentor Cardinals beat the Massillon Washington Tigers 57-31.   Mentor had their offense rolling in the first quarter as they scored 20 points and lead 29 to 7 at the half.    Mentor running back Isaiah Gullick scored five touchdowns which got him our University Hospital player of the week honors!   Quarterback Tadas Tatarunas also had a great night throwing  for 137 yards and two touchdowns.

The Tigers were lead by Austin Jasinski who finished with 14 catches for 220 yards and three touchdowns.   The two teams combined for 20 points in the first two minutes of the game.

Mentor will face St. Ignatius next week as Massillon will play Canton GlenOak on Thursday.
