SARDINIA, Ohio — The National Weather Service has confirmed that a weak tornado passed through southwest Ohio during a line of storms.
Officials say the EF0 tornado touched down in Sardinia on Wednesday morning and traveled for about a mile. EF0 is the smallest possible tornado classification and they typically have wind speeds between 65 mph and 85 mph.
The tornado was estimated to have been on the ground for one or two minutes. No injuries were reported.
The storms that moved through the area caused flash flood warnings, disrupted traffic and brought down power lines and trees.
