CLEVELAND– Hillary Clinton met with Paul McCartney while campaigning in Cleveland on Wednesday, according to an aide, talking with the former Beatle at the Quicken Loans Arena.
McCartney is in Cleveland for two shows as part of his “One on One” tour.
Clinton was in Cleveland for a rally at John Marshall High School before the meeting and has a fundraiser in the area.
The two have crossed paths over their time in the public eye.
Clinton honored McCartney as part of the Kennedy Center Honors in 2010, hosting a dinner with McCartney, composer Jerry Herman, songwriter Merle Haggard and artist Bill T. Jones.
McCartney is a British citizen and therefore will not be able to vote in the 2016 election.
