CLEVELAND, Ohio — The National Weather Service has issued a ‘Beach Hazards Statement’, effective through early Wednesday morning.

According to the statement:

“A beach hazards statement is issued when swimming risks exist from a combination of wind and large waves including rip currents and longshore currents. These swimming risks can create life-threatening conditions even for good swimmers.”

The statement is in effect from 11 a.m. Tuesday through 2 a.m. Wednesday.

It’s in effect for beaches off of Cuyahoga, Lake, Ashtabula and Erie counties.
