LONG ISLAND, New York-A bar in Long Island, New York is raising eyebrows for their rooftop bar policy which says men must be at least 30 and women 25 to get inside.

According to a recent New York Times story, co-owner Anthony Geraci, said that in his bar he could set whatever policy he wants.

Geraci told the New York Times, “If you build a house, you decorate it the way you want,” I could open a bar tomorrow and it could be an over-40s bar.”

Some officials say having separate policies for men and women amounted to gender discrimination.

Donna Lieberman, the executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union, told the Times, “Mr. Geraci could open an over 40s bar, as long as everyone, man or woman, was allowed in at the same age.”

We want to know what you think? Should bars have different age requirements for men and women?
