CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Shoreway is officially closed in both directions for at least the next 25 days as crews replace a bridge as part of the Cleveland Lakefront West project.

The Shoreway is closed at Lake Avenue.

Clifton Boulevard traffic will be detoured north onto West Boulevard to access the Shoreway via the Lake Avenue exit ramp. The Lake Avenue exit ramp will be converted for two-way use.

The Mainline is also restricted to one lane in each direction between Lake Avenue and West 73rd Street.

The following restrictions are being implemented to help with traffic flow and commutes:

— West Blvd. will be restricted to local access only between Lake Avenue and Edgewater Drive.
— Lake Avenue will be restricted to eastbound only traffic between West Blvd. and Clifton Blvd.
— West Blvd. will be closed to southbound traffic at Clifton Blvd.  Motorists must use Detroit Avenue.

The Lakefront West Project is meant to connect Cleveland’s west side neighborhoods with the lakefront by creating several connections along the West Shoreway between West Boulevard and the Main Avenue Bridge.
