Man with CCW permit shoots armed Family Dollar robbery suspect

CLEVELAND  - A man attempted to rob the Family Dollar on West 117th and Bellaire Avenue in Cleveland and was shot in the head by a person at the store who had a concealed carry permit.

He was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center and his condition is unknown.

According to Linndale Police Chief Tim Franczak, his officers were called to the scene just after 3 p.m.

The man with the CCW permit and the accused robber shot at each other, but only the suspect was injured.

The man who shot the suspect was not an employee at the store.

Police are still investigating and BCI is also on the scene.
