Suspect in drive by of 2-year-old in Cleveland arrested in Canton thanks to K9 officer

CLEVELAND – A suspect wanted in connection with the July drive by shooting of a toddler was arrested Monday in Canton, with the help of a K-9.

JeJuan Burns was found by the K-9 inside a crawl space in a Canton home.

He was wanted in connection with a drive by shooting that happened July 15th on East 146th Street.

Sources say the mother and toddler were outside talking to someone inside a car when another car drove by and shots were fired.

The child was conscious when they were transported to Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, she was shot in her arm and head.

A juvenile suspect was locked up earlier and is being held in the Cuyahoga County Detention Center.
