SANDUSKY – There have been 7 fatal crashes in Erie and Ottawa counties since the beginning of this year with 3 of those in the last month.

Three were caused by left of center and/or passing violations, five of the crashes happened between 2 and 5 p.m., and in three of the crashes there were people not wearing their seat belts.

Within the next month, Troopers in those counties will be enforcing those violations even more on two lane state and federal highways.

That includes passing violations, following too closely, marked lane violations and seat belt violations.

Troopers will be enforcing them even more during the 2 – 5 p.m. time window as well.
