TWINSBURG, Ohio– No child wants to be separated from his favorite stuffed animal. And, thanks to Twinsburg police, one little boy didn’t have to go without the stuffed pup for long.

On Thursday, Twinsburg police posted on its Facebook page that Officer April Blubaugh found the toy on the State Route 82 bridge over I-480.   Hundreds of people shared the post in hopes of reuniting the little guy with his rightful owner.

Then, Friday morning, police said there was an update: Peanut was reunited with his owner, who turned out to be a little boy. Police said Peanut enjoyed his day with Officer April but was happy to go home.  They thanked everyone who shared the post and made the reunion possible.

The child’s family members commented on the post, thanking police for finding Peanut, and saying how sad the little boy would have been if Peanut wasn’t home by bedtime.
