Richard Branson suggests parents should smoke pot with their kids

CHICAGO — Billionaire businessman and Virgin Group founder Richard Branson is giving some advice to parents.

He says if their kids are going to smoke marijuana, they should join them.

The Chicago Tribune reports that Branson gave that advice to a group of entrepreneurs in Chicago.

He said, “Don’t let them sneak off and do it on their own.

Branson, 66, is a father of two. He was responding to a question about how he ensured his children learn good values.

In 2007, Branson told GQ he had smoked marijuana with his son, saying: “I’d rather my son did it in front of me than behind closed doors.”
