Woman claims armed men are outside during Cleveland bank robbery

CLEVELAND- The Cleveland Office of the FBI is investigating after a woman robbed a bank on the city’s east side Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect gave a teller at the Huntington Bank on East 185th Street a demand note. According to the FBI, the woman said she was armed and there were two armed men outside the bank.

No weapon was seen and no one was injured.

The suspect was wearing black clothing and sunglasses. The FBI said a tan SUV and a white sedan may have been involved in the robbery.

Anyone with information should call the Cleveland FBI at 215-522-1400 or the Cleveland Division of Police. Tips can remain anonymous and reward money is available.

On Monday, a woman robbed the US Bank on Northfield Road in Maple Heights. The FBI did not say if the two robberies were related.
