New research shows kids as young as 10 are spending much of their day on a smartphone.

With the responsibility, comes problems. reports that a Sprint survey shows these days, kids have Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat accounts along with the phone. That leads to even more cyber-bullying and stranger danger, and parents aren’t taking that lightly.

Research shows kids spend more time on such devices than they do playing to burn off calories and interact with other kids and adults.

Parents are fighting back against the issues.

Parental restrictions have increased from 14 percent to 34 percent since the last survey.
