Driver ejected during Lorain rollover crash, police investigating

LORAIN – One man was seriously injured after a crash on Henderson Road in Lorain early Sunday morning.

According to police, 28-year-old Adam Green was driving his Ford Escape northbound in the inside lane. Christopher Casteel, 55, was driving his Mercury Mariner in the outside lane.

Green lost control, crashing into Casteel’s vehicle.

Casteel’s car went into a nearby ditch and finally stopped on its roof. Casteel was able to safely crawl out of his car and only suffered minor injuries.

Green’s Ford Escape flipped over during the crash and he was ejected.

Green was critically injured and life-flighted to MetroHealth Medical Center from Mercy Regional Medical Center.

He was driving with a suspended license at the time and was not wearing his seat belt.

The investigation is ongoing and according to police, alcohol and/or drugs and excessive speed appear to be factors in the crash.

No charges have been filed at this time.
