Special moment: Groom honors bride’s late father with emotional dance

For Shannon Ball, she knew her wedding day, particularly the father-daughter dance, would be difficult after losing her father to cancer in 2006.

According to Huffington Post, her husband Don Perez made sure he would still be there for their special day.

The video of their first dance recently went viral on YouTube, although they were married in May of 2015.

In the video, Don and Shannon share their first dance before the music suddenly stops.

Don and his two sons had a little dance break before ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’ started to play.

Next, Don slipped on a shirt with Shannon’s favorite photo of her dad on it and ‘May I have this dance?’ written on the back.

“When he turned it into the daddy-daughter dance that I had always dreamed about with my dad, I lost it,” the bride told HuffPost.
