LORAIN - A group of kids made some awesome gift bags for the police officers who live in their neighborhood and it was all thanks to one mom who organized the entire plan.

According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Sergeant Tim Hoffman, a mom that lives in his west Lorain neighborhood, Jessica Keller, came up with the idea.

Keller wanted to show appreciation to the officers in the neighborhood, which has about 18 police families.

Through a neighborhood Facebook page, Keller gathered all of the goods and the kids walked around the neighborhood to deliver them on Thursday night and Friday.

The kids were able to hand the gift bags to each officer personally and even took some pictures with them.

The officers work for many different departments including Lorain, Rocky River, Elyria, Wakeman, Fairview Park and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
