CLEVELAND – A 25-year-old Cleveland man has died after he was pulled from Lake Erie on Friday night.

According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner, the Coast Guard and EMS were unable to save 25-year-old Kevin Rogers.

The Coast Guard tells Fox 8 that they got a call around 8:30 p.m. that there were 4 males on a boat and one had jumped in the water without a life jacket and was not a strong swimmer.

Two other men jumped in to help him and were wearing life jackets.

When the Coast Guard arrived, the two men had become tired from swimming and the Coast Guard pulled Rogers from the water.

When EMS arrived at the East 72nd Marina to meet the Coast Guard, Rogers was unresponsive.

He passed away at the hospital.
