City of Cleveland extends hours at two Rec Centers this weekend

CLEVELAND – The City of Cleveland has announced that they are extending the hours at two of their Rec Centers due to the extreme heat.

Both locations will be open so residents have somewhere to go to keep cool.

They are open until 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. – 10 pm. Sunday.

On the West Side of Cleveland: Gunning Recreation Center located at 16700 Puritas Ave, Cleveland, OH 44135. You may contact the recreation center at (216) 420-7900.

On the East Side of Cleveland: Zelma Watson George Recreation located at 3155 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Cleveland, OH 44104. You may contact the recreation center at (216) 420-8821

Make sure to stay hydrated, check on the elderly, children and pets as well.
