Akron police work to ID suspect after two stores robbed at gunpoint

AKRON, Ohio– The Akron Police Department is asking for information after two stores were robbed at gunpoint.

The first robbery happened at the Metro PCS on Copley Road at about 3:15 p.m. on July 9. Akron police said the suspect walked into the store and pointed a gun at the clerk. He quickly ran.

More than six hours later, the same suspect walked into Video Time on East Avenue, police said. He pointed his gun at an employee and demanded cash.

In both cases, the suspect covered his face and was wearing a glove on his left hand.

Anyone with information should contact Detective Hanlon at 330-375-2490. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. If you see him, immediately call 911.
