CLEVELAND – With less than 48 hours until the gavel falls to officially begin the 2016 Republican National Convention, the delegates know where they’ll be sitting inside Quicken Loans Arena.
56 delegations, that represent every United States state and territory, will begin four days of meetings Monday. The culmination of the convention comes Thursday night, when they will cast votes to nominate Donald Trump and Governor Mike Pence as the Republican candidates for Presidents and Vice President.
The Ohio delegation is seated to the right of the arena’s podium (as you are facing toward the podium), next to the Pennsylvania delegation. That means that they will be to the left of the speakers during the convention.
There will be about 2,470 delegates and 2,302 alternate delegates in Cleveland for the convention. The convention also includes approximately 15,000 credentialed media.
