NEWBURGH HEIGHTS, Ohio — Newburgh Heights police are warning residents about two women who disguised themselves and were able to talk their way into the home of an elderly couple.

The two women, one in her early 20s and one in her 50s, convinced the couple that they were acquaintances of the family and went into their home.

While inside, they stayed for about 40 minutes and asked detailed questions about the couple and their neighbors.

Nothing appears to be missing from the home, but the amount of questions asked about the neighborhood has caused neighbors to be concerned.

Officers are encouraging anyone who sees suspicious activity to call police.

Police say that despite the RNC, officers will remain on their normal duties and that residents should not hesitate to call because they assume officers will be on other calls.
