Police officers shot in Missouri and Georgia, both suspects in custody

Officials near Ballwin, Missouri are investigating after an officer-involved shooting on Friday, according to KTVI.

The officer was shot during a traffic stop and the suspect was apprehended after a short foot chase. A weapon was recovered.

The officer’s condition is unknown at this time and the suspect was not injured.

An officer in Valdosta, Georgia was also shot on Friday.

According to WALB, the officer was shot several times after he was called to an apartment complex for damaged property.

The officer was in surgery, but is expected to recover.

The suspect also suffered gunshot wounds, but his condition is unknown.

Both of these shootings come just one day after 5 officers were killed and 7 officers were injured during a Dallas protest. The suspect was later killed.
