FRANKLIN COUNTY - The Franklin County Sheriff's Office confirmed to Fox 8 on Friday that they will not be sending any officers to Cleveland for the Republican National Convention.

They said that they will not be sending any officers and neither will the suburbs of Dublin or Whitehall. The Sheriff's Office planned on sending 30 officers and both suburbs were planning on sending about 15.

Back in May, officers in Cincinnati and North Carolina both told Cleveland that they would not be sending officers either.

They said they would not send officers if the City of Cleveland would not provide Worker's Compensation Insurance for their officers. The Franklin County Sheriff's Office said that same reason was why they would not be sending their officers.
