Cleveland area celebrates Fourth of July

CLEVELAND, Ohio — It’s the Fourth of July! And parades and fireworks shows are being held all over Northeast Ohio today.

The annual Kamm’s Corner Independence Day Parade stepped off at 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Lorain Avenue and Rocky River Drive.

Other parades include:
— Auburn Township 4th of July Parade/Picnic. Noon, stepped off at the Meadows property.
— Lakewood Fourth of July Parade. 10 a.m., stepped off on Lake Avenue at Kenneth Drive. Concludes at Lakewood Park.
— Bedford Heights July 4 Parade. 10 a.m., stepped off at Columbus and Washington streets.

— Mentor Headlands 4th of July Parade. Noon, stepped off on Forest Drive.

The 15th Annual Reading of the Declaration of Independence took place in Independence Monday morning. This year, the group honored veterans of the Korean War.
