BRATENAHL, Ohio --  I-90 eastbound has reopened Friday following a crash near the Lakeshore Blvd exit in Bratenahl. The road was completely closed for several hours.

As of 9 p.m., all lanes were opened near Eddy Road, but the right lane was still closed.

Traffic was backed up for miles for much of the day.

Earlier in the day, Cleveland police said the area could be shut down for several hours to allow for clean-up.

State Route 2 eastbound was also closed to I-90 eastbound for a short time, but has since reopened.

The chain-reaction crash, which happened before noon, involved a truck which dumped liquid asphalt all over the highway.

Cleveland Division of Fire spokesman Larry Gray says two people were injured.
