MENTOR – Several Mentor firefighters reunited a family of ducks on Saturday.

They got a call from the Dairy Queen on Lakeshore Boulevard that several ducklings had fallen into a storm drain.

When the firefighters arrived, they tried to reach the ducklings with a ladder, but couldn’t get to them.

They said the mother duck was nearby and getting very distressed.

A Dairy Queen employee grabbed a pool skimmer and the ducklings were saved.
