Woman in car held up at knifepoint at stop sign in Parma, police say

PARMA, Ohio– A woman says she was held up in her car by a man with a knife when she drove up to a stop sign in Parma.

She called police Tuesday morning from West 54 and Southington. She said a man appeared to be jogging. Then he asked her to roll down her window. Then he stole her purse at knifepoint.

The victim said the man then took off in a car.

Parma police say they’re investigating, but they have little to go on. And they say they have not had any other incidents like this.
