CAIRNS, Australia — A mother is crediting Siri for helping save the life of her small daughter.
Yahoo 7 News reports that Stacy Gleeson looked on her baby monitor and saw that her one-year-old daughter, Giana, had stopped breathing and was blue.
Gleeson said she placed her daughter on the floor to check her airways. She went to call for help when she realized she’d dropped her iPhone.
So she used the iPhone’s voice activation function, Siri, to call an ambulance. She didn’t even have to touch the phone.
“And then before I knew it, the ambulance was on its way, and Giana was breathing again,” she told Yahoo 7 News.
She says that the few seconds saved by using Siri may have been just enough to help her save her daughter’s life.
