CLEVELAND – Taco Bell has confirmed to Fox 8 that they plan to open a Cantina in Public Square later this year.

A Taco Bell spokesperson said the restaurant will be the first company-owned Cantina and it will serve alcohol.

There is no exact opening date quite yet, but the company says it plans to have it opened by the end of this year.

Last year, a franchise-owned Taco Bell Cantina opened in Chicago, according to WGN. That restaurant was the first Taco Bell in the nation to ever serve alcohol.

There are currently renovations going on at Public Square, but they are expected to be completed before this summer’s RNC.
