Akron police searching for Family Dollar attempted robbery suspect

AKRON– Police in Akron are searching for a suspect accused of attempting to rob a Family Dollar store on June 2.

Police say the female suspect walked into the store around 1 p.m. and handed a note to the clerk that read “Give me the money, I have a gun – no one will get hurt.”

The suspect was holding a box cutter in her hand when she handed over the note. The clerk walked away from the counter and the suspect ran from the store.

The suspect is described to be in her mid twenties. She is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds.
