Two vans plow into drugstore in attempted smash-and-grab

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Two vans plowed into a drugstore on the east side of Cleveland early Tuesday in an attempted smash-and-grab.

It happened at Rite Aid, located at East 105th Street and St. Clair Avenue.

The suspects were not able to make off with the ATM. There was heavy damage to the building.

Police are still investigating.

The incident is just the latest in a large number of attempted smash-and-grabs in the Cleveland area.

In most of the attempts, the suspects have not been able to get away with the ATMs.
