CLEVELAND, Ohio — Major Howard was just three years old when he was killed in a drive-by shooting nearly nine months ago.

Donnell Lindsey, the man police spent months searching for, pleaded not guilty in the little boy’s murder during an arraignment this morning. He faces charges of felonious assault and murder.

Major would have turned 4 years old on Sunday.

Lindsey was arrested in Georgia last month, tracked down by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force. They said he was hiding out there with someone he knows from Cleveland.

Investigators believe that Lindsey is the one who fired into a car on Cleveland’s east side in September, hitting little Major who was sitting inside.

The family spent months passing out fliers and trying to help police find his killer.
