SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio -- The Summit County prosecutor's office is warning local real estate agents that an inmate convicted of crimes involving local realtors is set to be released from prison.

According to the Akron Cleveland Association of Realtors website, Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh said Robert E. Willett will be released June 11.

Willett was charged and convicted of several charges, including gross sexual imposition and attempted abduction.

In 2010, Willett was arrested after arriving at a showing with flex cuffs, scissors and a knife. The realtor felt uneasy about him prior to the showing, so she'd contacted authorities who were there when he arrived.

Willett was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

His most recent incident was in Stark County in 2013, when he "bear hugged" a realtor and caused a struggle between them. She was able to break free and drive away.

Willett was ultimately identified by his DNA from a pop bottle he left inside the realtor's vehicle.

There are other reports on file from 1999 and 2006 where he acted similarly.

He was known to use two aliases, Bill Parks and Tim Ramsey, when setting up meetings with various realtors for house showings. The alert said he has been known to go to open houses as well, illegibly signing the guest book and typically staying until the end being the last to leave.

He's also represented himself as a former Norton fire Department member and a security officer and has presented badges for both.

Willett will be placed on post release control with the Adult Parole Authority. As one of his conditions of parole, he won't be authorized to have contact or schedule any appointments with real estate agencies or realtors.

He'll also be placed on intensive supervision for three years.

"Extreme caution should be taken when scheduling appointments with unknown clients and open house showings," the alert states, adding if Willett is seen in or near any home for sale, authorities should be contacted.
