UNITED KINGDOM — A man was working his job as a security guard when he was unexpectedly approached for help — from a fox cub.

The National Fox Welfare Society posted about the little guy on their Facebook page.

According to the post, the security guard, named Muhammad, was working when he saw the fox cub dragging his legs in a ditch. He offered the little cub some food and called for help.

When wildlife rescuers from NFWS arrived about a half hour later, they made their way to the ditch.

“The little cub just rolled on his back, unable to run away,” the post says.

The rescuers put the little cub in a carrier and took him to a veterinarian in morning.

They named him Finn, after a character from “Star Wars.”

It turns out Finn had a broken back leg, fractured femur and bruising to his spine. He underwent surgery. Doctors don’t believe his injuries were caused by being hit on the road, but rather by malnutrition.

Now, the little fox is recovering and gets to eat dinners of cooked chicken. He was even given a stuffed bunny to cuddle with.

He’ll be recovering for at least three weeks.
