Teen rescued from Brecksville gorge after hitting head while swimming

BRECKSVILLE  - A 16-year-old was rescued by the Brecksville Fire Department just before 3 p.m. on Thursday.

According to a spokesperson for the Metroparks, the teen was with a group of friends when they hopped a fence.

He was swimming in a non-designated area when he jumped off of a ledge and hit his head.

After he was rescued, he was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center with a head injury. His current condition is unknown.
