One person killed, several injured in fiery I-90 crash

CLEVELAND – One person was killed in a crash that closed I-90 westbound for several hours Thursday night into Friday morning at the MLK exit.

Cleveland Division of Fire spokesman Larry Gray confirmed to Fox 8 that one person was killed in the crash.

It happened on the westbound side of the highway before 10 p.m. Thursday.

The highway was closed in both directions after the crash.

There were several cars involved  in the crash and several injuries reported.

A picture sent to Fox 8 showed one of the vehicles engulfed in flames.

The number of people involved and the extent of their injuries was not known early Friday morning.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol, which is handling the investigation, was expected to release more information Friday morning.
