TITUSVILLE, Florida — Four sisters were killed in a crash on a Florida highway after a tire blowout.

FOX 35 reports that five sisters were driving with their mom, her boyfriend and her boyfriend’s nephews, when a tire on their SUV suddenly went out on Interstate 95 in Titusville.  It sent the vehicle out of control; troopers said the SUV flipped several times and everyone was ejected.

Four of the girls, Amunya Cruz, 15; Jazmin Cruz, 14; Niashia Cruz, 13; and Nadia Cruz, 10, died.

The girls’ grandmother, Glenda Wright, told FOX 35 that the children’s mother called her Monday night. “She was just hysterical, screaming.  I knew something had happened. She was screaming, ‘Mom, Mom, I need you Mom! My kids, they gone, they gone!’  I just jumped up and thought it was a dream and realized it wasn’t.”

The girls’ nine-year-old sister survived, and so did everyone else in the vehicle.
