CLEVELAND, Ohio — The film “Vaxxed” opened in Cleveland last week, and filmmakers will be in town Tuesday ahead of special screenings and Q & A sessions.

“Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe” was directed by Andrew Wakefield, an activist and former doctor whose 1998 study linking autism to childhood vaccines was discredited and retracted years ago.

There will be two screenings Tuesday night at the Capitol Theatre, 1390 W. 65th St., at 4:20 p.m. and at 7:20 p.m.

Wakefield, along with the film’s producer, a doctor and a local parent of a child with autism, will appear following the screenings for Q & A sessions.
