FAIRPORT HARBOR, Ohio —  The Coast Guard needs help tracking down its beloved pup named Storm.

The 1-year-old German shepherd/husky mix wandered off Monday night at around 7 p.m. in the area of Mentor Headlands Beach.

The dog is a pet, not a search/rescue dog, for members of the Coast Guard station in Fairport Harbor.

He has one blue eye and one brown eye and is wearing a red collar with tags on it.

The Coast Guard says Storm is extremely friendly but can be shy around strangers if he’s scared.

If you see Storm, you’re asked to call the U.S. Coast Guard Fairport Harbor station at 440-352-3112.
