Norwalk police searching for hit-and-run driver

NORWALK, Ohio– Police are looking for a driver after a 7-year-old child was struck near 14 Adams St. in Norwalk Saturday night.

The child was kneeling on a skateboard when he lost control and rolled into the road, according to Norwalk police.

He was hit by a silver van and pulled under it briefly.

The driver got out to ask him if he was OK, but left the area before police arrived.

The child was treated for minor injuries at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

The child and a friend said the car was a “silver van with black stripes.”
