LORAIN COUNTY - You won't see any commercial jets at the Lorain County Regional Airport, but with 5,000 feet of runway, you'll see plenty of other planes.

The airport said they aren't sure exactly what to expect when the RNC comes to town, but they think that have an idea.

So far there are only a few reservations, but they anticipate changes as July gets closer.

"There are expectations set up from previous experiences, like the debate. I've hear about 150 aircrafts are expected at Burke, but a lot more are needed and expected to be flying into the area

With hundreds of planes expected to come into the air for the RNC, Lorain County's Regional Airport offers two big options for pilots.

One, it' only about a 30-minute drive to downtown Cleveland.

Two, it also offers a lot of space. There is enough hangar room and also just tarmac room to park a lot of planes.
