VERMILION, Ohio– Two people are facing charges after a methamphetamine lab was found in a Vermilion house.

The Lorain County Drug Task Force investigated the house on Fairfax Road. Casey L. Chess and Chara Jakubisin were charged with illegal assembly of chemicals and conspiracy to manufacture meth.

Both pleaded not guilty and the case was bound over to the Lorain County grand jury.

Vermilion police said officers had to wear special protective gear to clear the scene because of the volatile chemicals.
