CLEVELAND– The Cavaliers had a huge win Wednesday night in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals over the Toronto Raptors, 116-78.

If you ask Cleveland head coach Tyronn Lue what contributed to that victory, he’ll say the fans at Quicken Loans Arena helped.

“The environment is very special. I think the fans come out and support at a high level, knowing that everything is heightened during the playoffs,” Lue said. “Teams feed off of that. They feed off the crowd energy.”

Cavs lead the series, 3-2, heading into Friday night’s match-up at Air Canada Centre in Toronto. Both teams have only won on at home with lopsided scores.

Game 5 was a big night for Kevin Love, who struggled during the two games in Canada. He had 25 points, while LeBron James and Kyrie Irving had 23 each.

“I thought we were physical for the whole game and that was game plan,” Lue said.

Knowing that LeBron doesn’t have to do it all was another part of that plan.

“LeBron is a winner. He understands what it takes to win,” Lue said. “Just show his confidence and trusting his teammates really went a long way. This guys are playing at a high level. And Kevin and Kyrie, along with other guys, are really playing well. LeBron understands to win a championship you everyone and that’s how he’s playing this postseason.”

Meanwhile, in the Western Conference Finals, Oklahoma City is ahead of Golden State, 3-1. Game 5 in that series is Thursday night at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
